Bank robbery suspect threw stolen money and wished everyone a ‘Merry Christmas,’ witness said

CNN — A Colorado Springs financial institution theft received a Christmas spin.

Round midday on Monday,

police stated

that an older man threatened a financial institution with using a weapon.

However he took a web page from one other man with a white beard, in response to a witness.

“He robbed the financial institution, got here out, threw the cash far and wide,'” Dion Pascale informed

CNN affiliate KKTV

. “He began throwing cash out of the bag after which stated, ‘Merry Christmas!'”

Bystanders gathered the scattered money and returned it to the financial institution teller because the suspect walked subsequent door to the Starbucks and waited for the police, Pascale stated.

The suspect, recognized as David Wayne Oliver, was taken into custody on the espresso store, police stated. It’s unclear if Oliver has illustration.
