DES MOINES (AP) — Iowa Supreme Court docket Performing Chief Justice David Wiggins introduced Friday he’s retiring, giving Republican Gov. Kim Reynolds a chance to construct an much more conservative court docket.
Wiggins, 69, stated he’ll retire March 13. He “feels that it’s time to transfer on,” court docket spokesman Steve Davis stated.
Wiggins was appointed to the court docket by Democratic Gov. Tom Vilsack in 2003.
