State Department bars NPR reporter from flying with Pompeo | Political News


WASHINGTON (AP) — The State Division has denied a Nationwide Public Radio reporter a seat aboard Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s aircraft for an upcoming journey to Europe and Central Asia, the choice coming a couple of days after Pompeo lashed out at one other NPR reporter.

NPR stated in a press release Monday that correspondent Michele Kelemen wasn’t given a purpose for being barred from the flight. The State Division declined to remark.
