Abrar Fahad killing: Are Bangladesh campus political wings out of control? | DW News



Lower than 48 hours after Bangladesh’s Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi signed a water sharing deal, Abrar Fahad, a college pupil within the Bangladeshi capital Dhaka was murdered due to it. Fahad was tortured and killed by fellow college students for almost 4 hours on campus. His crime was having posted on Fb that he was sad with the water-sharing deal. His attackers are allegedly from a pupil physique known as Bangladesh Chhatra League, which is linked to Hasina’s ruling Awami League. A minimum of 11 suspects have been arrested by the police and the Prime Minister has promised justice.
