Down The Middle News: Barr declares war against sanctuary cities – expert says he’s targeting democratic jurisdictions

Lawyer Normal Invoice Barr has launched an all-out assault towards sanctuary cities, claiming they’re endangering nationwide safety. The AG says he’ll permit the Dept. of Homeland Safety to subject “federal subpoenas to entry details about legal aliens within the custody of uncooperative jurisdictions,” Fox Information experiences.

Barr says the DOJ is focusing on the State of New Jersey and King County, Washington, and will probably be “reviewing the practices, insurance policies, and legal guidelines of different jurisdictions throughout the nation. This contains assessing whether or not jurisdictions are complying with our legal legal guidelines, specifically the legal statute that prohibits the harboring or shielding of aliens in america.”

Along with focusing on sure state and native governments, Barr seems to be making the focusing on private, declaring, “we’re meticulously reviewing the actions of sure district attorneys who’ve adopted insurance policies of charging overseas nationals with lesser offenses for the categorical objective of avoiding the federal immigration penalties of these nationals’ legal conduct. In pursuing their private ambitions and misguided notions of equal justice, these district attorneys are systematically violating the rule of legislation and should even be unlawfully discriminating towards Americans.”

Fox Information calls this system “a ‘vital escalation’ towards left-wing native and state governments that hinder the ‘lawful functioning of our nation’s immigration system.’”
