Down The Middle News: C-SPAN caller scorched by Muslim comedian for ignoring Jesus after she rants ‘gays are abomination to God’

Comic Dean Obeidallah, who’s Muslim, instructed a C-SPAN caller that Republicans will not be following the teachings of Jesus Christ although they might oppose abortion and different insurance policies advocated by evangelicals.

“I’m unbiased,” Pam, who referred to as from Arkansas, instructed Obeidallah. “I vote in response to my conscience of who would Jesus vote for if he had been right here on Earth. And he wouldn’t vote a bunch of people that imagine in murdering kids within the womb, on gays, which is an abomination to God, on false gods from different nations.”

Obeidallah replied with a lesson on the Christian savior.

“And Jesus is a part of Islam,” Obeidallah reminded the caller. “My mother’s Catholic so I’m fairly cool with the entire Jesus factor. And I’m down with Jesus.”

Obeidallah stated that he wished folks “who desire a authorities that follows the teachings of Jesus would begin with Matthew, the place Jesus stated, ‘For those who had been hungry, I fed you. For those who had been thirsty, I gave you one thing to drink. For those who had been a stranger, I welcomed you in.’”
