Voter receives write-in ballot for wrong political party

CORPUS CHRISTI — Donna Stockwell stated she’s been a registered member of the Nueces County Republican Social gathering for 22 years.

That is why she stated she was shocked to obtain a write-in ballots for the Democratic major within the mail.

“If the individuals wish to vote by mail, examine your ballots rigorously, as a result of apparently one way or the other the Democrats are getting addresses and mailing us Democrat ballots solely,” Stockwell stated.

Leaders of each political events in Nueces County weighed in on the mix-up Wednesday. It seems Stockwell probably obtained a write-in poll utility that already partially was stuffed out from an outdoor company making an attempt to get extra Democrats registered to vote.

“I believe it is unlucky, however now we have no management over third-parties,” Nueces County Democratic Social gathering Chairwoman Coretta Graham stated.

“We predict a 3rd (social gathering) group did it,” Nueces County Republican Social gathering Chairman Michael Bergsma stated. “I do not know which one, and the one who complained to me hadn’t stored the unique envelope. So we do not know, however most likely it is somebody like Deliberate Parenthood, Earth First, or somebody like that.”
